GTA Online is finally getting a real, big-ticket heist again. Rockstar has made The Kortz Center Heist official, a summer update landing July 14, 2026 that sends players in to loot the most prestigious art gallery in Los Santos. Announced on the Newswire on June 17, it’s the first heist you plan from a paid property since Cayo Perico, back in late 2020.
In practice, you buy a Mansion, set up an Art Studio inside it, then plan your job against the Kortz Center complex, solo or with up to four. In the meantime, Rockstar is showering the community with bonuses through the Fine Art Collector program, and throwing in the next-gen upgrade for GTA 5 for free. Here’s everything that’s confirmed.
The first big heist since Cayo Perico
To grasp how big this is, look at the calendar. The last heist on this scale, launched from a dedicated property, was The Cayo Perico Heist, released December 15, 2020. That’s nearly six years of waiting for fans of elaborate, planned-out scores. In between, the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid did keep things busy in 2024, but that was a free contact mission triggered in Freemode, with no property required: a different category entirely.
The Kortz Center, for its part, returns to the classic formula of GTA Online’s big heists: a base property, a planning phase, a finale with multiple approaches. The gallery itself isn’t made up: this cultural center perched in the Pacific Bluffs hills has been part of the map since GTA 5 launched in 2013. Its halls have displayed priceless international artwork for years. It’s time to go help yourself.
For a reminder of what a large-scale, Rockstar-stamped heist looks like, the Cayo Perico trailer is still the best reference point. That’s exactly the level of production the community is expecting for the Kortz Center.
Mansion, Art Studio, and multiple approaches
The buy-in is clear, and it isn’t cheap. To run the heist, you need to own a Mansion, the luxury real estate from Prix Luxury Real Estate, then add the Art Studio upgrade. That studio acts as your HQ: scoping out the complex, picking your approach, prepping the setup stages, then launching the finale.
On structure, Rockstar describes a multi-stage heist, with infiltration and exfiltration of the site, and several ways to tackle the job. Like Cayo Perico, it’s fully playable solo or with up to four players, which makes it content for lone wolves and seasoned crews alike. Fine Art Collector: up to GTA$1.5 million before the job
Until July 14, Rockstar is priming the pump with the Fine Art Collector program, running June 18 to July 13. The goal: reward players who get ready, with up to GTA$1,500,000 in bonuses spread across three tiers, plus a few exclusive gifts.

The Enthusiast and Patron rewards land within 72 hours; the Elitist tier rewards will be paid out when the heist goes live, on July 14. That’s enough to build up a little nest egg, and the armored Turreted Limo, with its roof-mounted minigun, isn’t the worst consolation prize.
Double pay on the Diamond Casino and a free next-gen upgrade
The program comes with incentives to jump back in right now. The Diamond Casino Heist finale pays double through June 24, a solid way to fill up the bank account before investing in a Mansion. Rockstar is also dropping record discounts: GTA$2,000,000 off a Mansion for GTA+ members, and a 40% GTA$ bonus on eligible Shark Cards for everyone. More importantly, Rockstar is using the occasion for a bigger move: owners of a PS4 copy or the Xbox One digital version of GTA 5 can upgrade for free to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, carrying over their story and online progress. On PC, the jump from the Legacy edition to the Enhanced edition is free too, bringing ray-traced ambient occlusion and global illumination along with it. It’s in line with GTA 5 going free again for a while on next-gen consoles: Rockstar wants as many players as possible on the modern versions before the big leap.
The last big chapter before GTA 6?
The timing is no accident. Just months out from Grand Theft Auto VI, the Kortz Center feels like a last hurrah for GTA Online, and the press is happy to frame it as one of the last big content drops before the handoff. Nothing’s official on that front, but the signal is consistent: beef up the next-gen experience, reward the veterans, and fire up the heist machine one last time in style.
